What is the tape suitable for?

Protecta® FR Pipe Wrap is a graphite material that reacts to heat build-up and froths to fill the gap created by the melting of the pipe in the penetration. It can be used with plastic pipes (PVC-C, PVC-U, PP, PE, PE-HD, ABS and SAN+PVC), bundles of plastic pipes with or without cables, and metal pipes with flammable penetrating insulation. It is installed by wrapping it around the penetration point and securing it with adhesive tape; it is then placed in the wall or floor construction with Protecta® FR Board thermal insulation or Protecta® EX Mortar.

Main application

Protecta® FR Pipe Wrap is designed to provide fire resistance to flexible wall, embossed wall and floor structures at penetration points of various service metal pipes yet to be installed.
