Why get a protective suit?
Unique sophisticated protective equipment with 99.9% antibacterial efficacy that protects against infection by pathogenic microorganisms. Suitable for use wherever increased hygienic protection is required and where people are at higher risk of infection, such as doctors and nurses or emergency, police and military forces, but also for use in construction, industry and research. It is certified to EN 13034 + A1 as Type 6 protective clothing - limited protection against liquid chemicals and Type B protection against biological agents.
Material:
It is made of multi-layered specially treated non-woven fabric. Its main composition is polypropylene containing silver, which acts as an antibacterial element. The exceptional properties of this fabric are guaranteed by the high quality production using Spun-bond and Melt-blown technology. The fabric is breathable and capable of dissipating human heat. It is hydrophobic and therefore highly water repellent. The special white fabric is very comfortable to wear, odourless, non-irritating to the skin and free of latex, glass fibres or other allergenic substances. It thus guarantees a long-lasting wearing (lasts up to 15 washes) that is more comfortable than conventional protective equipment.
Spun-bond:
Spun-bond is a method of producing non-woven fabric that replaces standard cotton woven fabrics. The leading properties of spunbond nonwovens include strength, breathability, water resistance and surface durability.
Melt-blown:
Melt-blown is the polymer melting technology used in the production of the MEDIMAN ® 2020 Overalls. The microfibers are applied to the non-woven fabric with a stream of air to form a uniform layer. The technology provides the material with excellent filtering capacity, absorbency and also the ability to insulate the fabric within the fibres. The surface of the material is impervious to moisture, smooth, strong and tear resistant.
Reusable:
Due to the material it is made of, it allows multiple uses and thus has a longer lifetime compared to other disposable overalls After washing, it can be reused up to 15 times with declared PPE category III, type 6 properties. The active silver contained in the non-woven fabric kills viruses and bacteria. Silver in contact with them deactivates the skeletons of bacteria and viruses, the destruction of the cells occurs and therefore they are unable to reproduce and so die. The protective clothing was evaluated for antibacterial activity and efficacy under dynamic contact conditions according to ASTM E 2149. The achieved R reduction (%) is > 99,9.
How to care for the protective suit?
Cleaning of the coverall is recommended after each use, according to the need and the extent of soiling. Cleaning is possible by hand or in a washing machine at 40-50 °C. It is recommended to select a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm. Wash gently without using any aggressive detergents without phosphates. When cleaning, we recommend using soap with antibacterial content. After cleaning, the overalls should be dried freely in a spread out state. It is not advisable to dry it in the dryer. The material should be protected from contact with hot surfaces (iron, hairdryer). Failure to follow the manufacturer's recommendations may result in permanent damage and loss of its protective properties. Disinfect or decontaminate the garment in a disinfectant mixture designed for rapid disinfection of surfaces and objects, surfaces of medical devices or by immersion in a water solution. The solution should not contain more than 70% alcohol combined with hydrogen peroxide and 30% water. Steam autoclaves, an ozone generator, UV-C germicidal light or a dry mist maker can be used for sterilization.
Cut:
The MEDIMAN® 2020 gown is available in white only with a zipper closure at the front and top. The zipper in the upper part of the jumpsuit (hip and chest area) is covered by two opposing and overlapping flaps, which provide sufficient protection against spraying - penetration of limited amounts of liquid chemicals and bacteria. Elastic bands are placed in the back of the head, at the neck and waist level for better user comfort. The elastics are also at the end of the sleeves and at the bottom of the trousers in the ankle area for maximum protection of the user.
Ecology:
The fact that the MEDIMAN® 2020 Overal, which is made of a special fabric containing silver, retains its properties even after 15 washes makes it a unique product. It leaves a significantly smaller ecological footprint than other protective equipment. The surface is PVC-free compared to conventional overalls, which guarantees breathability and reduces the proportion of harmful plastics contained in it. By wearing this coverall repeatedly, you minimize waste and protect our planet! At the end of its life cycle, the jumpsuit can be used as normal workwear after cleaning to protect your clothes from dirt.
The hooded version covers the entire head and the face area is lined with a fine elastic band. It is designed as limited use protection for the wearer against liquid chemicals.
The variant with a raised stand-up collar provides protection against penetration of liquid chemicals. It is intended to protect against possible exposure in smaller spray quantities or accidental small objects to liquids or as protection against infectious diseases such as bacteria, unicellular eukaryotic organisms, viruses, etc.
Please note: Protective clothing does not protect the eyes, face, hands or feet of the wearer, so additional protective equipment must be used!
In case it needs to be disposed of permanently, it can be put in the normal municipal waste after cleaning.
