Where is the detector suitable?

The CSA-FGS detector is suitable for less controlled areas such as public toilets, cubicles, changing rooms, discreet areas, areas reserved for employees or public buildings where violations of the prohibition on handling fire or smoking tobacco products may be more frequent.

What can the detector do?

Detects tobacco smoke quickly and with 100% efficiency. Thanks to the SpeechPOD PIR motion sensor technology, it can trigger preset voice messages when motion is detected. It can thus prevent, for example, the risk of slipping on a wet floor, tripping over an obstacle or falling. This feature will be appreciated by cleaning services, which can preset a voice message to warn of wet or slippery floors when motion is detected. It detects a flame from a 25 mm cigarette lighter at a distance of 6 m within 1 second. Visual indication, voice message or other acoustic signal. Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted from up to five sensitivity modes. SmartWave© voice message playback software allows selection from 100 voice messages, setting the time interval, volume and number of replays.

How is the detector powered?

It is powered by an external CSA-006 power module or by 4 AA alkaline batteries. A Fault - Battery is Low" voice message warns of low power and imminent battery discharge.

Can the detector be connected to another device?

The device can be installed stand-alone or can be wired to other devices such as PIR motion detectors, optical voice detectors or control panels.

If you would like to order a system consisting of multiple devices, please contact us by phone or email.

Where to install the detector and how to protect it from vandalism?

It can be installed on the ceiling or wall.

Because the CAS-FGS is suitable for locations where violations are more common, we recommend securing the detector with the CSA-AVC3 steel anti-vandal cover. It will prevent mechanical damage or theft of the detector.

Accessories:

For more convenient operation of a single detector or a whole system consisting of several RADAL Cig-Arrete detectors, it is possible to use the wireless remote control CSA-IR2 (not included).
