Basic description

Are you looking for a quality aluminium ladder suitable for direct installation in a manhole? We offer you a practical aluminium shaft ladder for stable, permanent installation, directly from the manufacturer and leader in aluminium ladders - JUST Leitern AG. They have been manufacturing these special ladders for over 130 years and for many years also in accordance with the European standard, but also meeting other multinational (German or British) standards. A manufacturer and supplier that constantly promotes new product developments in order to optimize them for all kinds of work.

This is a high strength shaft ladder with a lightweight construction. It will not be lost in the work of professionals, nor in the hobby use of the ordinary handyman. The solid construction and excellent stability ensure comfortable and safe access to any depths.

The maximum load is possible up to 150 kg, so it can comfortably carry 2 people or handle the transfer/retrieval of building materials.

Certification

The ladder is manufactured and certified to meet the European standard ÖNORM EN 14396 and ÖNORM Z-1600.

The ÖNORM EN 14396 standard is intended for ladders fixed into shafts. It specifies requirements for their mechanical resistance and fall protection equipment. Ladders according to this European standard are suitable for use in waste, storm and surface water and, in accordance with national requirements, in drinking water installations.

Basic construction material and quality

The quality of the material and workmanship of the ladders will exceed your expectations. The racks are made of anodised aluminium, either in natural form. The decked crossbars, with anti-slip properties for even greater safety and stability, are irremovably recessed and welded by CMT technology into hollow profiled double-wall stands.

There is a comfortable 30 cm span between each crossbar. The ladder is 36 mm wide and is supplied without brackets as standard. Not a single detail or defect must be overlooked in the manufacture of the ladder.

The ladder suitable for use for descending into a shaft is normally supplied in a 6 m version, but of course it can also be manufactured in a length to suit your requirements. We offer a wide selection of mounting brackets and additional parts for the standard shaft ladder. If you are interested in the ladder or even its accessories, do not hesitate to contact us, we will provide you with a tailor-made offer.

Anodizing technology

The anodizing solution or otherwise known as anodizing is a chemical and thermal treatment of the surface of the ladder. It creates a protective layer on the treated aluminium surface. It prevents oxidation and protects the aluminium itself from it. It is most commonly used when aluminium is used outdoors. The material is thus significantly protected against weathering. The mechanical and abrasion resistance of the material is also increased. Thermal and electrical conductivity, as well as surface roughness, are significantly reduced. The lifetime of the product itself is increased.

The effect of weathering

The use of high-quality anodised aluminium material and the careful design of the complete batten construction results in a really high resistance to weather conditions. Thanks to the material properties, the racks cannot rust even when standing in direct rain or exposed to other water elements for long periods of time. The material is also more resistant to heat. There is no risk of damage or wear.
