Motion Guard is a modern wireless motion detector with a dual PIR sensor that reliably detects motion up to 12 metres away. It is designed for indoor use and ensures high detection accuracy even in challenging conditions.

What is the detector's range and angle of view?

The device can cover a space up to 12 metres and offers a wide 90° viewing angle, making it the ideal solution for most rooms.

Will the detector recognise pets?

Yes, the Motion Guard is equipped with a pet immunity feature that allows it to ignore the movement of pets up to 18kg in weight and 50cm in height. This prevents false alarms caused by pets.

How does the detector minimize false alarms?

The detector uses an advanced digital algorithm that analyses infrared radiation and can distinguish real person movement from distractions such as moving objects, temperature changes or lighting conditions.

How does it communicate with the alarm system?

Motion Guard communicates with the central unit using the encrypted SAFE Keeper protocol, which ensures secure data transmission up to 1,600 metres in an open area.

Is the device tamper-proof?

Yes, the detector is equipped with a Tamper function that immediately triggers an alarm if the device is attempted to be removed, opened or otherwise tampered with.

How is the detector powered and how long does it last?

Power is provided by a replaceable CR123A battery, which allows operation for up to 4 years without the need for replacement.

Does the detector have other functions?

Yes, the Motion Guard also includes a temperature sensor so you can monitor the current temperature in the room. At the same time, it can also be used within a smart home, for example, to automatically switch lights when motion is detected.
