Description
Polypropylene was used for the production of the sorption mat, which is characterized by chemical and mechanical resistance. The mat belongs to the STANDARD product line. These textile sorbents are an effective and simple means of capturing spillages in a smaller space, e.g. on a workbench or storage area. They are available in a 40 × 50 cm size.
Benefits
Due to the large internal volume of the fabric and the large surface area of the microfibres, this sorbent has a high sorption capacity.
Thickness of the textile sorbent
Lightweight sorbent is a fabric with a lower surface weight and thickness. It is very well suited for use in spills or in operations with lower loads or lower risk of large spills of hazardous liquids.
Textile sorbent design
The mats are particularly suitable for smaller everyday leaks, for example during maintenance work, cleaning or leaking equipment. Excellent for long-term use.
Application
Textile universal sorbents are designed for the sorption of all non-aggressive liquids. They quickly and safely soak up emulsions, oils, grease, petroleum, solvents, water, aqueous solutions or weak chemical solutions. They are used in warehousing, manufacturing or repair facilities to prevent the release of hazardous substances or to deal with emergency situations in the event of a sudden release of these liquids.
The use of these sorbents will provide you with:
Perforation
Perforation allows you to tear off the necessary piece of fabric and better use the sorbent surface area. The longitudinal perforation of this MPLP 5040 sorbent allows it to adapt to the needs of a specific workplace, for example to cover rough surfaces.
Packaging
The sorbents are supplied in a practical dispensing box to protect them from contamination and degradation before use. It helps to preserve sorption capacity (with area under long-term loading, sorption capacity can be reduced by loss of free volume). This packaging makes the sorbent ready for immediate use.
Notice
These sorbents cannot be used for extracting oil from the water surface as they preferentially absorb water and aqueous solutions and therefore sink to the bottom.
Sorbent ranges
The STANDARD series textile sorbents are made of microfibrous non-woven polypropylene fabric without ultrasonic coating. This means that they have a large internal volume and the loose microfibres ensure very fast sorption and high sorption capacity. The sorbents in this range are particularly useful where large quantities of leaked liquids need to be extracted and where it is not necessary to walk or walk over the sorbents.
Disposal of used sorbents
Disposal of used sorbents is governed by the properties of the absorbed liquids, by internal guidelines for handling chemicals and also by law - important laws are No. 185/2001 Coll. on waste or No. 350/2011 Coll. on chemicals and mixtures. We recommend that hazardous waste is handed over to a specialist company for the disposal of hazardous substances.
