A new generation of carbon monoxide detector with breakthrough CO detection and instant response using a second generation electrochemical sensor that tests every second for the deadly hazard of carbon monoxide and displays the current concentration level in the monitored area on a colour LCD display.

The SAFE 10YDCO - PRO CO detector has a host of innovative features including AI SAFE microprocessor technology to filter out false alarms and measure gas concentration directly in the air and in real time.

The second generation electrochemical sensor with de-ionized water electrolyte is free of ions that could affect measurement accuracy or cause undesirable side reactions. Thus, the SAFE 10YDCO - PRO detector sensor provides reliable and accurate data on the carbon monoxide concentration in the monitored area, while at the same time representing a device with stable performance and long service life. The second generation sensor of the SAFE 10YDCO - PRO has been designed to detect the presence of CO as soon as the gas enters the sensor chamber.
The chamber design with direct link to the AI SAFE microprocessor then offers the most reliable method of detection with the ability to recognize false stimuli, and combined with the prediction algorithm, allows the gas concentration to be measured directly in the air and in real time.

For fire detection systems in residential buildings, the priority is to inform occupants in a timely manner of an imminent real danger. The AI SAFE microprocessor has been developed based on a detailed analysis of the properties of carbon monoxide and works with a prediction algorithm that analyses the data in relation to the actual CO level in the monitored area, compares the data from the electrochemical sensor and filters out the potential for false alarms in real time to ensure an immediate response to the impending danger of this silent killer.
Alarm signaling of potentially dangerous carbon monoxide levels
In the event that the CO concentration reaches a specified threshold during detection, the detector will trigger a loud 85 dB audible alarm signal accompanied by the flashing of a red LED indicator to indicate a carbon monoxide alarm, with the current measured CO concentration displayed on the detector's blue backlit display.
The backlit multi-function LCD display shows the current measured CO concentration in ppm units in alarm mode, while in standby mode it alternately displays the current room temperature and humidity information in the monitored space, allowing it to respond to dangerously low or high humidity or temperature environmental conditions. The temperature level display can be set based on preference in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
The combination of battery power and detector housing design allow for installation by placing the device in an optimal position on a horizontal surface. This eliminates the need for fixed installation of the carbon monoxide detector on a wall, but allows it to be variably and freely placed (stood up) on horizontal surfaces such as shelves, nightstands, windowsills or other staging areas. The detector's electronic components and circuit board are coated with an insulating and protective coating of IZOVAX nanoparticle paint to protect the device's electronics even in very humid environments. The device can thus be placed or installed, for example, in bathrooms with karma, gas boilers, boiler rooms, drying rooms, etc.

The SAFE 10YDCO - PRO carbon monoxide detector has a memory function for the highest measured value. The memory records information about the highest measured CO concentration even when you are not present. By pressing the combined TEST/SUSPEND button, you can recall and display this information on the LCD display regarding the highest levels of measured values since the last memory reset.
If the detector detects a threshold level of carbon monoxide concentration, it will trigger an alarm to activate the alarm. In the event of an unwanted audible alarm, the alarm can be temporarily silenced by pressing the TEST/SUSPEND button for up to 9 minutes. The temporary silencing mode is indicated by the device with a red LED indicator which flashes 4 times every 5 seconds at a regularly recurring interval without an accompanying buzzer sound. If the CO concentration subsequently falls below the predetermined values, the detector automatically switches to normal operation mode.

The power supply is provided by an integrated 3 V lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable) guaranteeing extremely long detector operation for more than 10 years. Battery operation allows for quick and easy installation and ensures proper operation of the carbon monoxide detector for over 10 years from activation. The power battery is activated by pulling the locking clip on the back of the device. After 10 years of protection and with 30 days notice, the detector will notify you of the end of life and automatically alert you that it needs to be replaced. The extended 10-year warranty covers both the battery and the device itself.
The SAFE 10YDCO - PRO detector uses advanced electrochemical sensor detection technology and has been independently tested by the accredited German TÜV laboratory as compliant with all European standards. Of course, it has both CE certification, EU Declaration of Conformity and approval according to the standards ČSN EN 50291-1:2018 and ČSN EN 50291-1:2018/AC:2021 relating to electrical equipment for the detection of carbon monoxide in residential areas.
Carbon monoxide detectors should be installed in the following locations:
1. Near bedrooms: Place the detector near bedrooms so it can wake you up in the event of an emergency.
2. On each floor of the house: If you have a multi-story house, it is important to have a detector on each floor.
3. Near CO sources: Install detectors near potential carbon monoxide sources such as boilers, fireplaces, gas appliances and garages.
4. On the ceiling or high on a wall: Carbon monoxide is lighter than air, so detectors should be placed on the ceiling or high on a wall.
5. Close to living areas: Place detectors near living areas where you spend the most time, such as living rooms and kitchens.
Avoid installing detectors near windows, doors, fans, or other areas with high airflow that could affect their functionality.
The best way to test and maintain the detector sensor in working order is through the SAFE 400 gas test kit. The test gas in this spray verifies that the detector circuitry and system, including the electrochemical sensor, are operating reliably and responding proactively to increasing levels of carbon monoxide.
