Fire extinguisher inspections

To ensure that fire extinguishers are in good working order and ready for use in the event of a fire, they must be inspected. Fire extinguisher checks must be carried out regularly according to the applicable standards by a service engineer. Our service technicians are regularly trained and demonstrate their knowledge of the Ministry of Interior Decree No. 246/2001 Coll., as amended, and successfully pass the tests in accordance with the fire protection standard ČSN ISO 11602-2:2002 Annex A, prescribed for authorized persons servicing portable and mobile fire extinguishers. The testing is carried out under the auspices of the Engineering Testing Institute. This service is carried out throughout the country for powder, snow, CO2, foam extinguishers.

How often is the fire extinguisher inspection performed?

Based on Decree 246/2001 of the Ministry of the Interior, fire extinguishers should be inspected once a year, but depending on the specific environmental conditions where they are located, this inspection may be carried out in a shorter period. In addition to this inspection, the pressure test of the vessel must be checked. Depending on the type of extinguisher, the inspection is required at least once every 3 years for water and foam extinguishers or every 5 years for other extinguishers. It is not possible to carry out the periodic test at the customer's place of business. This procedure is time-consuming and requires quality workshop equipment. Our workshop is certified and meets the requirements of ISO 11602-2:2020 for the inspection, maintenance and periodic testing of fire extinguishers in the manner and to the extent specified in this standard.

What does this service include?

The inspection is carried out by a service technician who has many years of experience and is equipped with high-quality diagnostic tools. The technician first visually inspects the extinguisher and then checks the functionality, pressure and individual components of the extinguisher. After the inspection, the technician issues a Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Repair Certificate which indicates the location, the result of the fire extinguisher inspection and the name and number of the technician who performed the inspection. Upon completion of the inspection, the service technician shall affix an inspection tag to each extinguisher indicating the date of the next inspection, the pressure test, the serial number of the extinguisher, and the name and number of the technician.

Environmental disposal of the extinguisher

If a fire extinguisher reaches the prescribed service life or is otherwise discarded for a reason in which it can no longer be repaired, we will carry out the scrapping and ecological disposal of the extinguisher in accordance with the applicable legislative provisions.

Revision of fire extinguishers throughout the country

The price for shipping applies to 1 address. In case of interest in fire extinguisher inspection at more addresses, the price will be charged separately for each address.

The fire extinguisher can also be brought to our premises. In this case, there will be no transport charge.

*The price quoted for fire extinguisher inspection does not take into account any repairs, replacements and periodic (pressure) tests of fire extinguishers, which are carried out every 3-5 years depending on the type of extinguisher.
