Description
Polypropylene was used for the production of the sorption mat, which is characterized by chemical and mechanical resistance. The mat belongs to the STANDARD product line. These textile sorbents are an effective and simple means of capturing spillages in a smaller space, e.g. on a workbench or storage area. They are available in a 40 × 50 cm size.
Benefits
Due to the large internal volume of the fabric and the large surface area of the microfibres, this sorbent has a high sorption capacity.
Thickness of the textile sorbent
Themedium thick sorbent is a fabric with a medium basis weight and thickness. It provides sufficient sorption of leaked liquids. It is very well suited for cleaning or prevention in plants where spills of hazardous substances are common.
Design of the textile sorbent
The mats are particularly suitable for smaller everyday clean-ups, for example during maintenance work, cleaning or equipment leaks. Excellent for long-term use.
Application
Textile chemical sorbents are used to sorb the most aggressive liquids, including acids, hydroxides or unknown liquids. They allow for easy, quick and safe clean-up. They are particularly suitable for chemical plants and wherever hazardous and aggressive chemicals are handled.
The use of these sorbents will ensure:
Perforation
Perforation allows you to tear off the necessary piece of fabric and better use the sorbent surface area. The longitudinal perforation of this CPH 5040 sorbent allows it to adapt to the needs of a specific workplace, for example to cover rugged surfaces.
Packaging
The sorbents are supplied in a handy dispensing box to protect them from contamination and deterioration before use. It helps to preserve sorption capacity (with area under long-term loading, sorption capacity can be reduced by loss of free volume). This packaging makes the sorbent ready for immediate use.
Disposal of ingested sorbents
Disposal of used sorbents is governed by the properties of the absorbed liquids, by internal guidelines for handling chemicals and also by law - important laws are No. 185/2001 Coll. on waste or No. 350/2011 Coll. on chemicals and mixtures. We recommend that hazardous waste is handed over to a specialised company for the disposal of hazardous substances.
Sorbent ranges
STANDARD series textile sorbents are made of microfibre non-woven polypropylene fabric without ultrasonic coating. This means that they have a large internal volume and the loose microfibres ensure very fast sorption and high sorption capacity. The sorbents in this range are particularly useful where large quantities of leaked liquids need to be extracted and where it is not necessary to walk or walk over the sorbents.
