Description

Polypropylene was used for the production of the sorption mat, which is characterized by chemical and mechanical resistance. The mat belongs to the PREMIUM product line. These textile sorbents are an effective and simple means of capturing spillages in a smaller space, e.g. on a workbench or storage area. They are available in a 50 × 50 cm size.

Benefits

Protective textile layer with camouflage print protects the sorbent from abrasion damage and prolongs its service life. The pattern covers small drips and thus prolongs its use from an aesthetic point of view.

Design of the textile sorbent

The mats are particularly suitable for minor everyday leaks, for example during maintenance work, cleaning or leaking equipment. Excellent for long-term use.

Application

Textile universal sorbents are designed for the sorption of all non-aggressive liquids. They quickly and safely soak up emulsions, oils, grease, petroleum, solvents, water, aqueous solutions or weak chemical solutions. They are used in warehousing, manufacturing or repair facilities to prevent the release of hazardous substances or to deal with emergency situations in the event of a sudden release of these liquids.

The use of these sorbents will provide you with:

  • a clean and tidy workplace
  • increased safety at work
  • meeting the requirements of environmental legislation

Perforation

Perforation allows you to tear off the necessary piece of fabric and better use the sorbent surface area. The longitudinal perforation of the MPHM 5050 sorbent allows it to adapt to the needs of a specific workplace, for example to cover rugged surfaces.

Porosity

These sorbents cannot be used for extracting oil from the water surface, as they preferentially absorb water and aqueous solutions and therefore sink to the bottom.

Disposal of used sorbents

Disposal of used sorbents is governed by the properties of the absorbed liquids, by internal guidelines for handling chemicals and also by law - important laws are No. 185/2001 Coll. on waste or No. 350/2011 Coll. on chemicals and mixtures. We recommend that hazardous waste is handed over to a specialist company for the disposal of hazardous substances.

Sorbent ranges

PREMIUM series textile sorbents are made of special microfibre non-woven polypropylene fabric. Their surface is coated with a thin protective layer that protects the sorbent against abrasion and fiber release. The fabric is also reinforced by ultrasonic bonding, thus greatly increasing its strength. This allows workers to walk over the sorbents. Sorbents from this range are suitable for use in areas where higher mechanical resistance and absolutely minimal fibre release from the surface is required.
