Description
Polypropylene was used for the production of the sorption mat, which is characterized by chemical and mechanical resistance. The mat belongs to the PREMIUM product line. These textile sorbents are an effective and simple means of capturing spillages in a smaller space, e.g. on a workbench or storage area. They are available in a 50 × 40 cm size.
Benefits
The special honeycomb bonding type ensures higher strength of the sorbent.
Thickness of the textile sorbent
A strong sorbent is a fabric with a higher basis weight and thickness. As a result, it can soak up large quantities of leaked liquids. It is best used in operations with a risk of large or continuous spills of hazardous substances.
Textile sorbent design
The mats are particularly suitable for smaller everyday spills, for example during maintenance work, cleaning or equipment leaks. Excellent for long-term use.
Application
Textile oil sorbents are designed for the sorption of oils, gasoline, diesel, solvents and other petroleum-based liquids. Due to their hydrophobic properties, they are used to selectively separate oil from the water surface. They are also used in storage, manufacturing or repair facilities to prevent oil spills or to deal with emergency situations in the event of sudden spills of these liquids.
The use of these sorbents will ensure:
Perforation
Perforation allows you to tear off the necessary piece of fabric and better use the sorbent surface area. With this sorbent OPHF 5040, the transverse perforation allows it to adapt to the needs of a specific workplace, for example to cover rugged surfaces.
Packaging
The sorbents are supplied in a practical dispensing box that protects them from contamination and deterioration before use. It helps to preserve sorption capacity (with area under long-term loading, sorption capacity can be reduced by loss of free volume). This packaging makes the sorbent ready for immediate use.
Disposal of used sorbents
Disposal of used sorbents is governed by the properties of the absorbed liquids, by internal guidelines for handling chemicals and also by law - important laws are No. 185/2001 Coll. on waste or No. 350/2011 Coll. on chemicals and mixtures. We recommend that hazardous waste is handed over to a specialised company for the disposal of hazardous substances.
Sorbent ranges
PREMIUM series textile sorbents are made of special microfibre non-woven polypropylene fabric. Their surface is coated with a thin protective layer that protects the sorbent against abrasion and fiber release. The fabric is also reinforced by ultrasonic bonding, thus greatly increasing its strength. This allows workers to walk over the sorbents. Sorbents from this range are suitable for use in areas where higher mechanical resistance and absolutely minimal fibre release from the surface is required.
